Check this page throughout the year for additions and corrections. Please note the following addenda to the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog:

  • Accounting Program Policies (pg. 51) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a C- in major courses.  The pre-requisite for ACC 122 is completion of ACC 121 with a minimum grade of “C-.”
  • Business Administration Policies (pg. 69) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a “C-” in major courses.
  • Business Communications Program Policies (pg. 76) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a “C-“ in major courses.
  • English Major Requirements (pg. 91) - ENG 420 Internship should be listed under major requirements (Writing Track) below English 400 and removed from Category III – Period Studies and Major Figures.  Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a “D” in major courses.
  • Film Video Theatre (pg. 100) - Major Requirements for Theatre Focus are as follows:  VID 106, FIVTH 231, FIVTH 312, FIVTH 400, FIVTH 402, ENG 288, ENG 300 – 400 literature covering playwrights or drama, FLM 108, THEA 103, THEA 121, THEA 202, THEA 204, THEA 210, THEA 215 – 219, THEA 224, THEA 301, THEA 420, and THEA 452. 
  • Human Services Program Policies (pg. 108) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a C in major courses.  However, in order to advance to the senior practicum, students must have an overall GPA of 2.5.
  • Information Systems Program Policies (pg. 111) Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a “C-” in major and secondary courses.
  • Paralegal Studies Program Policies (pg. 136) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a C- in major courses.
  • Psychology Program Policies (pg. 145) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade is a D in major courses.
  • Public History Program Policies (pg. 149) - Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major, and the lowest acceptable grade in all history courses is a C.
  • Visual Communications Design Requirements (pg. 156) - Students must earn a 3.0 or higher GPA in the major, with the lowest acceptable grade of C in required Art courses.  Students must repeat any required Art course in which they receive a “C-,” “D,” or “F.”  If a student receives a second C-, D, or F in that required Art course, he/she cannot continue in the Visual Communications Design major.
  • Economics (pg. 83) - There is no major in economics at Villa Julie College; however, there are a number of courses offered in this area that are either required by other majors or they can be used as electives to fulfill the core curriculum requirement in social science.
