When abroad, it is important to remember that you are an ambassador of Stevenson University and of the United States - you should act accordingly. Students are expected to act in a manner that positively reflects the values and beliefs of Stevenson University at all times. Before leaving to study abroad, students will receive a copy of the Study Abroad Code of Student Conduct and all students are expected to read and understand SU's travel policies before studying abroad.
Alcohol
Availability and public consumption of alcohol may be greatly increased or decreased in the country students are visiting. The rules about alcohol may vary between countries. If students have a problem with alcohol, support contacts at the program site can be found with the help of the Study Abroad staff. Students are expected to know and follow the host country’s laws regarding alcohol and the legal drinking age. Students should remember that they are responsible for their actions at all times and neither Stevenson nor the U.S. embassy can protect students from the legal consequences of actions committed overseas.
Illegal Drug Use
If arrested on illegal drug charges, students are subject to the host country’s laws. Neither Stevenson nor the U.S. embassy can protect students from the legal consequences of actions committed overseas.
