Minor
The goal of Villa Julie College's Economics minor is to provide students with the analytical tools which will enable them to apply economic thinking to rational problem solving in business, social, and personal arenas. Our Economics curriculum emphasizes a combination of micro and macro economics classes, as well as a choice of several applied economics courses. All courses within the Economics minor are designed to demonstrate the relevance of economic thinking for the constantly changing global business world.
Although the College does not offer a bachelor's degree in economics, a minor in economics is an excellent choice for business majors. Training in economics fosters the development of analytical and critical thinking, and provides a greater understanding of the complex business world. Furthermore, the core concepts of economics such as demand and supply, opportunity cost, and valuation all shed light on human behavior.
