What do I need to do once I've posted a description?

Students will respond to your organization; following instructions provided in your posting. You will need to conduct interviews to determine the right person for your position.

After selection, we ask that you conduct an orientation with the new intern student to ensure that the student understands who will be his/her trainer and/or mentor.

Engage the student in a relevant, challenging work experience that directly relates to his/her area of study and provide step-by-step training. Periodically, meet with the student to provide him/her with an opportunity to ask questions about the organization/expectations, etc.

Please Inform the Art Internship Coordinator of any concerns relating to the student's performance, attendance, etc.

Evaluate the student upon completion of the internship using the Evaluation of Intern Performance form. Please return form to the Art Internship Coordinator to be kept in the student's file. A student cannot receive credit for their internship until we receive this form. Download the Evaluation of Intern Performance>
