Welcome to Stevenson University Art & Design Internships.
Internships are an excellent way to gain valuable ‘real world’ experience and can make a difference in helping you build confidence and become gainfully employed. We recommend that every student do at least one internship while studying art and design at Stevenson. Many internships lead to employment positions and having this experience can land your resume at the top of the pile when applying for positions.
Stevenson art students do all kinds of great internships. Many students do more than one; some do three. Students are encouraged to do internships that relate to their career and personal aspirations. This might include internships in the areas of graphic design, web design, computer game design, photography, illustration, interior design, video or television graphics, gallery or museum work, or art education. Students are welcome to bring forth any additional opportunities they feel would be beneficial and worthwhile.
We recommend students complete their first internship during the summer before the junior year or during the junior year. Students should start planning for an internship two semesters ahead of time.
