Stevenson University welcomes the applications of students who are currently attending, or who have attended community colleges or other 4-year colleges and universities. We understand that changing schools can be confusing—that’s why we strive to provide a “transfer-friendly” environment.
With transfer students making up about 30% of our entire student body, Stevenson has the largest transfer populations among Maryland universities. There are so many reasons why Stevenson is the school of choice for transfer students, including generous scholarship opportunities, new student housing, the transfer of up to 90 credits, personal assistance by readily-accessible staff, and one-on-one advising with faculty.

Please note that you are not considered a transfer student unless you have graduated from high school and have attended another college or university. High school students who have taken college credits before receiving a high school diploma are considered freshman students.

Many students choose to pursue their bachelor's degrees at an accelerated pace by participating in our Accelerated Learning Program. VJC also offers four master's degree programs for students interested in graduate study.
