Congratulations on your admission to Stevenson University for Fall 2008! We welcome you to the University and hope that you are excited to be part of the SU community. This page is designed to give you some helpful information as you make the transition from high school to your first year at
Stevenson. We will update this page throughout the year as new information is available, so please check back often.

Explore the topics below for important new student information and answers the questions we get most often:

Enrollment Deposit & Housing Profile Form
Once you have decided to enroll at Stevenson, you must let us know and reserve your space in the fall 2008 class by completing the Enrollment Intent Form (PDF) and submitting your $300 enrollment deposit.  If you plan to live on campus, you must also complete the Housing Profile Form (PDF). There is no additional deposit for reserving a space in housing. You should submit your Enrollment Intent and Housing Profile Forms by May 1.  MORE>>

Applying for Financial Aid
To be considered for need-based financial aid, you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  You can complete the FAFSA anytime after January 1, 2008. Before being able to submit the FAFSA, you and your parents will need a federal Personal Identification Number (PIN), which you can apply for at www.pin.ed.gov.  You can apply for a PIN at any time. Stevenson’s priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is February 15.  MORE>>

Overnight Visits for Accepted Students
In addition to our regular tours, information sessions, and open houses, Stevenson offers accepted students the opportunity to spend the night on campus in the spring to find out what it’s really like to be a student here.  More details about the overnight visit program (and the rest of our campus visit opportunities), including how to register, are available at the following link.  MORE>>

Placement Testing
English and/or math placement testing is required of some students dependent upon SAT or ACT scores. Stevenson offers this testing on-campus. Students admitted before April were mailed a Placement Information Report on April 7 indicating which placement tests, if any, they are required to take. To see the placement testing schedule, learn more about the tests, and get sample questions click here.  MORE>>

Mustang Days (Orientation) & Registration
Mustang Days are Stevenson's orientation programs.  Each student comes for one day during the week of June 16-June 23, 2008.  You are assigned to a Mustang Days date based on your intended major. At Mustang Days you will meet with an advisor and learn how to register.  An invitation to Mustang Days will be mailed to you in May. Be sure to visit the Mustang Days website for additional information. Dates for Mustang Days by major are listed on the Important Dates page.

Changing Your Major
If you would like to start at Stevenson with a different major than you put on your application, please call Admissions. You do not need to speak with an academic advisor about changing your major until after you have registered for your fall classes.

Student Health Form
The student health form is required for all full-time students and all Nursing/Medical Lab Technology majors (regardless of full-time or part-time status).  In addition to the completed health form, all students planning to live on-campus are also required to be immunized against Meningococcal disease. The health form must be completed and returned to the Wellness Center by August 1, 2008 for fall entrance. Be prepared to print the entire seven-page health form, which includes an information letter and a one-page guideline for your health care provider. It will not be mailed to you.  If you have any questions, please contact the Wellness Center at 443-352-4200. Click the following link to get more information and to download the required form.  MORE>>
