Villa Julie's production of Cabaret directed by faculty member Chris Roberts, opened on April 17, 2008 in Villa Julie's Inscape Theatre, located at the Stevenson Campus. "There was a city called Berlin, in a country called Germany. There was a cabaret, and there was a master of ceremonies. It was the end of the world, and I was dancing with Sally Bowles--and we were both sound asleep." Set in Berlin on the eve of the Nazis' rise to power, this awared winning musical focuses on the seedy and seductive Kit Kat Klub. Music and lyrics by Kander and Ebb. Book by Joe Masteroff.
